January 2022 - Tim Evancich - Chief Operations Officer
Several years ago, our schools initiated a program to encourage our students to take pride in their campus and be responsible for keeping it clean. This program is called Not One Thing Ever or N.O.T.E.
We want students, staff, and parents to take N.O.T.E. and pick up litter when they see it throughout our schools. We encourage everyone to help keep our schools clean because it is everyone's responsibility.
Recently, after our students came back from Winter Break, our Draper 2 campus was noticeably strewn with litter, especially around the playground. Our amazing Draper 2 P.E. teacher, Rob Anderson, took action.
On his way out to his daily AM carpool service, Mr. Anderson said to the students waiting outside the doors, "I'm going to pick up five pieces of trash. Who will do that with me?" Many students enthusiastically joined him, and in a snap, the playground was cleaned up. As the adage goes, "many hands make light work." In this case, many hands make a clean campus and one that our students, staff & parents can be proud of. Will you and your students enthusiastically join Mr. Anderson this month by recommitting to N.O.T.E. and picking up litter when you see it?
"It's our campus. Let's keep it clean." -- Mr. Rob Anderson
THANK YOU, Mr. Anderson!
