NEW: Staff Appreciation Week 2021 is HERE!!
Staff appreciation is right around the corner. The theme of the week--Destination Travel Around the World. We are

looking for people to help lead the food days as well as help with set-up, service, gift gathering and organizing, and door decorating. We are looking for days tentatively that would have food themed around: Indian food, Mexican food, Italian food, Greek food, an American food. The staff loved, loved the food and we want to make it special for them. Please if you can help either sign up or reach out to me. draper1fso@apamail.org

NEW: “Spark Spirit” T-Shirt Design Campaign

We are so excited to be launching our “Spark Spirit” Campaign. This is a great opportunity for our students to show

their creativity and submit a design to become a limited-time spirit wear T-shirt.

PURPOSE

To spread spirit, allow students to have a voice, teach about art/design, and HAVE FUN!

TIME FRAME

February 22nd- March 12th
March 3rd – Student Design Deadline
March 8th – T-Shirt Design Announced
March 12th – T-Shirt Orders are Due
Students are encouraged to submit a design for a limited time spirit wear T-shirt

RULES

Design needs to promote spirit and show APA pride
Must choose from the designated T-shirt colors (Grey, White, Navy, Royal Blue, Red and Black)
Print colors will be limited to two colors
Print will be placed on the front of the T-shirt o Must be submitted along with the provided template

For a design to be considered, it will need to be submitted no later than March 3rd. Submit by giving your design to your Art teacher, Character Development teacher, or scanning and emailing it to apparel@apamail.org. Digital designs will be accepted and are encouraged. Submitted designs will go through approval process and ultimately be presented in front of a student panel to choose the final design. Final T-Shirt design will be announced March 8th.

NEW: March Lunch Orders

This is a reminder to order meals for your students next month March 2021. All orders must be placed 48 hours in advance - if you want your student to have lunch on Monday, March 1st, you MUST order by Saturday, February 27, 2021 (midnight).

If you need help ordering lunch please email lunch@apamail.org for assistance.
As a reminder we are excited to offer free meals to all students due to a NSLP waiver. All meals must be ordered 48 hours in advance. There is a limit to how many meals we can serve at each campus: D1 Elementary - 200

Once meals have reached the cap you will not be able to place an order for lunch. Please order ASAP. You will notice when you log on to order you NO LONGER see the specific item to be ordered. Because of COVID, our menu is subject to change. Whenever possible we try to serve the specific lunch as listed on the menu, but there are occasions when your student will be presented with an alternative lunch that meets the nutritional requirements and your child's specific dietary restrictions. If your student cannot eat the lunch presented, they should go to the lunch staff who will provide an adequate meal. We will continue to serve Regular (with meat) or Vegetarian (without meat), Gluten Free, or Dairy Free. We CANNOT guarantee the specific item will match the menu.

Girls On the Run 2021 Season

Girls on the Run Utah is a positive youth developed program for 3 -6 grade girls. Our mission is to inspire girls to

be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. This

after-school program combines training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem lessons and uplifting workouts.

The goal of the program is to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development. It will

be held Virtually Wednesday’s 4-6pm. The program runs 8 weeks from March 24 - June 5. The cost is $150. The team will fill up fast so register soon! We encourage all girls to participate regardless of their family’s ability to pay. Financial assistance is available. Register at www.girlsontherunutah.org
