Our American Preparatory Academy Draper 3 Wind Ensemble performed at the renowned Intermountain Suzuki String Institute's Advanced Strings Concert on Friday, June 23rd at Juan Diego High School in Draper. This performance was the culmination of a week-long Advanced String Camp for students who have progressed beyond the initial Suzuki books in violin, viola, and cello. This provides an excellent opportunity for our advanced students to refine their skills in a highly specialized environment.
The Intermountain Suzuki String Institute is a well-respected program dedicated to helping students and teachers progress in the Suzuki method.
This year, for the Institute's 45th event, our Draper 3 Wind Ensemble was honored with an invitation to participate, a testament to their commitment and proficiency. Their participation marks a significant first: our winds and percussion students, collaborating with the Institute's Advanced String group, have formed the first-ever Symphony Orchestra to perform at this event. The ensemble showcased their talent and the fruits of their hard work during the final concert.
These young musicians' dedication and growth in their craft exemplify the values we uphold at American Preparatory Academy, and we are extremely proud of their accomplishments.

Celebrating the Achievements of our APA WV3 Wind Ensemble!

We are thrilled to announce the outstanding accomplishments of our incredible APA WV3 Wind Ensemble this month! They recently competed at the prestigious Music in the Parks Festival held at Elitch Gardens in Denver, Colorado, and their achievements have left us bursting with pride!
Our talented musicians showcased their exceptional skills and dedication, earning 1st place in the highly competitive 1A Concert Band Category. But that's not all! They also triumphed in the overall Concert Band category, securing another 1st place victory. As a result, our Wind Ensemble returned home with not one, but TWO well-deserved trophies!
This year has been filled with remarkable milestones for our West Valley 3 Wind Ensemble students. They achieved the incredible feat of making it to the State Festival, delivering awe-inspiring performances at the Larson Band Festival
in Snow College. Additionally, three of our 
exceptional students showcased their individual talents and qualified for the prestigious Solo & Ensemble State Festival.
The Wind Ensemble also treated us to a mesmerizing concerto concert, where three talented seniors took center stage with the band accompanying them. It was an unforgettable evening of musical brilliance!
We want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to each and every member of the APA WV3 Wind Ensemble for
their exceptional achievements. Your talent, hard work, and unwavering dedication have shone through every performance, inspiring us all.
We are incredibly proud of our Wind Ensemble and grateful for the tireless efforts of their talented Band teachers, Mr. Velazquez and Mr. Greer, for their leadership and commitment to our students. Together, they have nurtured a culture of excellence that has propelled our students to new heights.
